Shipping & Delivery Policy

Glass City Comics & Collectibles takes care in packaging merchandise and uses tracked shipping services whenever applicable.

Carrier Selection

Orders may be shipped through USPS, UPS, FedEx, or another appropriate carrier.

Glass City Comics & Collectibles reserves the right to select the carrier and service used based on destination, package characteristics, cost, service availability, delivery requirements, security, and other relevant considerations.

Higher-Value Orders

Additional delivery protection is required for higher-value orders.

Orders under $150: Standard tracked shipping.

Orders from $150 through $299.99: Signature confirmation is required.

Orders of $300 or more: Signature confirmation and additional shipping insurance covering the applicable shipment value are required.

Applicable signature, insurance, and shipping costs may be incorporated into the shipping charge paid by the customer.

We may require signature confirmation, insurance, or other delivery protection on any shipment when we reasonably determine additional protection is appropriate, regardless of order value.

Signature Delivery

When signature confirmation is required, someone may need to be available at the delivery address to accept the shipment.

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and making appropriate arrangements to receive signature-required shipments.

A customer's preference for unattended delivery does not override a signature requirement placed on an order by Glass City Comics & Collectibles.

Shipping Damage

We package orders with the intention of protecting merchandise during normal transportation.

Once a shipment has been accepted by the carrier, damage occurring while the package is in the carrier's possession is considered shipping damage and is handled separately from the item's pre-shipment condition.

If a package arrives with apparent shipping damage, document both the exterior packaging and merchandise immediately.

Retain the merchandise, shipping box or mailer, packing materials, shipping label, and all other contents until the matter has been fully resolved.

Carrier & Insurance Claims

The required claims procedure depends upon the carrier, service, and insurance coverage used.

When a carrier permits or requires the recipient to initiate a claim, the recipient is responsible for initiating, documenting, following up on, and completing that claim. We will reasonably provide shipment documentation available to us when required.

When Glass City Comics & Collectibles is required to initiate a carrier or insurance claim, the customer must cooperate fully with the claims process.

This may include providing clear photographs, retaining merchandise and packaging, providing requested information, making the shipment available for inspection, completing carrier documentation, or taking other reasonable actions required by the carrier or insurer.

Please do not discard, alter, repair, dispose of, or otherwise make unavailable merchandise or packaging involved in an active shipping claim unless instructed to do so.

Opening a shipping or insurance claim does not automatically result in an immediate refund, replacement, or store credit.

We will not knowingly represent to a carrier or insurer that a customer has complied with a claims requirement when they have not.

Failure to retain required materials, provide requested evidence, participate in an inspection, respond to claim-related requests, or otherwise cooperate may prevent a claim from being approved or completed.

Tracking & Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address and monitoring tracking information after shipment.

Please contact us promptly if tracking indicates a delivery problem.

A carrier's tracking and delivery records, including available delivery scans and signature records, may be used when investigating a delivery issue.

Shipping and delivery matters are handled according to the applicable carrier, service, insurance coverage, circumstances, and any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
